100th Day of School

Happy 100th Day of School!! Today, we celebrated the 100th day. We had a gorp this morning during snack. This was a lot of fun. The students counted by 100 as we added all of the ingredients. Ask your child how many items we had in our gorp! (we had 1900 items in our gorp!) This afternoon several of the students shared their projects that they did. We also read 100th day books. Students worked on their 100th day activity posters today as well. These will be going home with your child tomorrow.
Talk about making a mess...ask your child about our science activity this morning!! We made oobleck! This is where you combine cornstarch and water and end up with a substance that can be a solid and a liquid. Tomorrow, we will be wrapping up our science unit on solids, liquids, and gases through our culminating activity. Our culminating activity is making and eating pancakes. We will be doing this first thing in the morning.

I can't believe tomorrow is already Friday! My solo week has flown by. It has been a great week and I am already looking forward to my next solo week which will be shortly after vacation!

Have a great night,
Holli
